‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign celebrated across district Kargil.

Kargil, August 11, 2023: To pay tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country, the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign was celebrated today across various Panchayats in Kargil district.
The ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign was held at various Gram Panchayats from different blocks across the district Kargil which include Government Middle School Barchey, Block Sodh, Govt. Middle School Brackchan Youljuk, Block Taisuru, Minji Gram Panchayat Block Kargil, Karchey Khar Gram Panchayat Block Barsoo, Bodh Kharboo Gram Panchayat Block Chiktan, Thasgam Gram Panchayat Block Drass, Kharbo Gram Panchayat Block Drass. Besides, BDOs, other Block and Tehsil level officers were present during the events.
The NRLM staff, NYK volunteers, VLWs, GRS, students, teachers and local residents also participated enthusiastically during the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign.
The campaign was organized by the RD&PRD Kargil in collaboration with District Administration Kargil in which the students of many schools participated as well.
As part of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign, the officers, students, locals etc. took the pledge while holding the soil (Mitti) in their hands.
‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign envisages covering a range of activities that have been planned for the upcoming days to commemorate the sacrifices of veers and to celebrate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav, culminating 75 years of independence.
