Opening ceremony of Ladakh Education Fair 2023 held at GDC Nubra.

Leh, August 24: The opening ceremony of Ladakh Education Fair 2023 was organised at Govt Degree College (GDC) Diskit, Nubra today.
Prof. Deskong Namgyal, Controller of Examination, University of Ladakh was the chief guest during the occasion who expressed his gratitude to all the educators serving in higher education for the betterment of children’s future.
He explained the benefits of the education fair which will connect students, parents as well as stakeholders involved, and stressed that working together in collaboration will overcome any challenges.
Additionally, the annual magazine of GDC Nubra was also launched during the occasion.
Stalls were also displayed by Higher Secondary School (HSS) Diskit; HSS Partapur; HSS Summur; HSS Hunder; Agriculture Department; Horticulture Department, J&K Bank as well as Women’s Association Diskit.
Resource persons such as Dr. Nordan Otzer and Jigmet Singee, Social Activists delivered speeches on the ‘Chakchok campaign- healthy for a healthy lifestyle’ while Historian, Haji Abdul Razak spoke on the History of Nubra.
Filmmaker, Stanzin Dorjee Gya talked about a career in filmmaking and documentary screening. Paediatrician, Dr. Zahid Hussain spoke on career in Medical Science whereas, Rishi Dutt enlightened the students on career in banking.
