    EC Punchok Tashi chairs review meeting on LRLM in Kargil.

    Kargil, Nov 07, 2023: Executive Councillor for RD&PRD, LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress and future plans of the Ladakh Rural and Livelihood Mission (LRLM) activities in Kargil District.
    The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Councillor Thangdumbur, Councillor Sodh, Councillor Parkachik, Councillor Karsha, Councillor, Tai Suru, District Programme Manager of LRLM and Block Programme Managers from Sankoo, Sodh and Shakar Chiktan.
    During the meeting, the Executive Councillor stressed the importance of maintaining confidentiality and ensuring the active involvement of concerned constituency Councillors before conducting any surveys or implementing programs.
    He stated that the initiatives undertaken by RD&PRD in Kargil, as well as the future plans outlined, are aimed at improving the well-being and livelihoods of the local communities.
    EC Tashi emphasized the need for dedication and commitment to the success of ongoing activities and future initiatives.
    The District Programme Manager, Muneer Rasool Wani gave a detailed presentation, highlighting various aspects of the LRLM program.
    He emphasized the establishment of Self Help Groups (SHGs), the growth in the number of Village Organizations (VOs) and Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Enterprises (PMFME) program, various livelihood activities, success stories, and funding patterns for SHGs, VOs, CLFs, non-intensive Blocks, Gram Sabhas, and Aam Sabhas.
    Furthermore, he provided insights into the concept of integrated farming and shared the success story of “Lakhpati Didi” in Kargil.
