SDM Shakar Chiktan attends enrolment drive at GHS Bodhkharboo.

Kargil, November 10, 2023: To boost enrolment in government schools, SDM, Sharkar Chiktan, Abdul Gaffar Zargar today attended an enrolment drive at Government High School Bodhkharboo.
Councilor Stakchey Khangral, Padma Dorjey, Sarpanches, Panches, villagers and VeC members of the school and parents were present in the program. The drive was aimed at increasing enrolment in the school. Parents and the VeC members hailed the program.
The SDM said that the program was aimed to raise awareness among the local communities about the importance of education and various facilities being provided to the students in Government Schools and encourage parents to enrol their children in government schools.
While stressing on the significance of education in the overall development of the district, he encouraged the enthusiastic participation of the teachers and parents.
The SDM urged parents to prioritize education and enrol children in government schools for a brighter future and avail the benefits of various schemes aimed at promoting education.
“Government schools have qualified teachers and offer scholarships for all, special assistance for girl students, while books, uniforms and free mid-day meals are provided free. These facilities are designed to provide interactive learning environment and ensure that students receive quality education without financial constraints,” he said.
The SDM informed the villagers that funds have been sanctioned for construction and upgradation of the school.
Councilors, PRI members, villagers appreciated the efforts of the SDM in organizing such programs. They assured to increase the enrolment in the school in the coming season.
