    DIC, RD&PRD organises awareness programme on PM Vishwakarma Scheme in Sankoo.

    Kargil, Nov 30: District Industries Centre, Kargil in collaboration with Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Department Kargil today organized an awareness programme on PM Vishwakarma Scheme, a central sector scheme of the Government of India at Conference Hall Sankoo.
    During the program, GM DIC, Rehamatullah Butt and IPO, Mudasir Rahowf Wani detailed about the registration process, PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID Card, Skill up-gradation, support of better and modern tool kit incentive, collateral free credit support, marketing support, etc. to the BDCs, Sarpanches, Panches, artisans, and other participants.
    The awareness camp was attended by BDO Sankoo, Sub Divisional Officers, PRI members, and a large number of people.
    PM Vishwakarma scheme was launched on 17th September 2023 by the Prime Minister of India to provide end-to-end support to artisans and craftspeople who work with their hands and tools. The scheme covers artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 trades.
    Enrolment of beneficiaries shall be done through Common Service Centre with Aadhaar-based biometric authentication on PM Vishwakarma portal. The enrolment of beneficiaries will be followed by three-step verification, which will include verification at Gram Panchayat/ULB Level, Vetting and recommendation by District Implementation Committee and approval by the Screening Committee.
