SSR Special Campaign 2023-24: DC/DEO Kargil visits Polling Stations to review ongoing progress under special camps.

Kargil, Dec 03, 2023: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, who is also the District Election Officer, today visited various Polling Stations in Kargil Tehsil to inspect the special camps held under ongoing Special Summary Revision(SSR-2023-24) of electoral rolls.
The District Election Officer was accompanied by Deputy District Election Officer Kargil, Khanzada Usman;Tehsildar Kargil/AERO, Kacho Asgar Ali Khan and other concerned officers and officials.
During the visit, the DEO inspected several Polling Stations in Tehsil Kargil including Polling Station Goma Kargil in Govt. Council Model High School Goma Kargil, Polling Station in Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Kargil, Polling Station Balti-Bazaar in Govt. Primary School Balti-Bazaar etc.
The DEO enquired about the pace of Electoral Roll updates from Booth Level Officers (BLOs) particularly during the Special Camps held today under ongoing SSR-2023-24.
The BLOs were instructed to educate the public and eligible youth about the ongoing Special Summary Revision and focus on registering all eligible voters.The DEO also directed the BLOs to update voter information, including additions, deletions and corrections etc.
