    Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp held at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Kargil.

    Kargil, Dec 16: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp was held today at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Kargil, Ward No.3 (Ltanmosa- Thaqskangrong-Lankore) of Kargil Town.
    Administrator, Municipal Committee, Kargil/Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho, LAHDC Councillor Town, Haji Abbass Adulpa, Executive Officer, MC, Kargil, Shafqat Ali Khan, other officers and officials from various departments, graced the occasion.
    Administrator MC, Kargil Imteeaz Kacho commended the efforts of MC Kargil in organizing the Viksit Sankalp Yatra and the camp. He then felicitated the Sweepers of MC and specifically lauded their devotion towards maintaining cleanliness. He highlighted the significance of the Bharat Sankalp Yatra initiative, bringing Government schemes directly to the doorsteps of beneficiaries. Kacho said that Government schemes are designed for the common people and emphasized the need for public awareness. He also emphasized the importance of reducing plastic usage to protect the environment and urged the citizens of the Town to generate minimum plastic waste. Every person should be responsible for his/her waste, he added.
    Councillor Town, Haji Abass Adulpa urged the residents to maximize the benefits offered through such camps, fostering community engagement and knowledge dissemination. He appreciated the inhabitants of Ward No.3 for showing interest in the stalls at the camp as well as in the Government schemes. On the other hand, Executive Officer MC, Shafaqat Ali Khan expressed gratitude to the participants for making the event successful. He said that MC, Kargil will remain committed towards public welfare.
    Stalls from various departments including Horticulture, Fisheries, Industries, J&K Bank, PNB, SB-CRISIL, Health &Family Welfare, Handicrafts, Social Welfare, Handloom, Education and Municipal Committee, displaying products and equipment, were installed for the awareness of people.
    The departments enlightened participants about centrally sponsored schemes such as Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), subsidy schemes for vermicompost and pack houses, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Urban, PM Vishwakarma, PM SVANidhi, Atal Pension Yojna, PM Suraksha Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Yojna, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna, etc.
    On-the-spot services were given including the generation of 50 Ayushman Cards, 71 e-KYCs of Ration Cards and 40 Aadhaars were updated. Besides that screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) including TB was done.
