GDC Kargil launches Free Short Term Training Courses under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 Scheme.
Kargil, Jan 10: Government Degree College Kargil today conducted the launch event of Free Short Term Training Courses under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 Scheme.
The college is granted the status of skill hub to conduct two short-term training courses in Traditional Hand Embroiderer and Graphic Designer, especially for the non-college, school dropout and unemployed youth of the region.
Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, who was the chief guest of the event formally launched the two courses and interacted with the trainees.
The program was also graced by the presence of the Superintendent ITI, Mohammad Kazim, Nodal Officer Sankoo Campus, Dr Saleem Ahmed, faculty members of ITI and GDC Kargil as well as the trainees.
The launch was followed by an interactive program where the trainers, Syed Rohullah, Graphic Designing Centre and Zainab Banoo, Traditional Hand Embroidery Centre, threw light on the objectives and aims of the training courses.
Mohd Kazim Superintendent ITI Kargil and CEC Dr Jaffer addressed the audience with their valuable insight on the promising courses conducted at the GDC Kargil.
The program was moderated by Archo Fatima Nissa, Assistant Professor, Department of English, GDC Kargil while the vote of thanks was presented by the Dr Azra Khatoon, Assistant Professor, Department of English, GDC Kargil.
