Leh, Feb 29, 2024: Councilor, Chushul, Shri Konchok Stanzin called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.

Shri Stanzin apprised the HLG of the damage caused to the crop in Chushul and Kargyam village due to rainfall. He requested the HLG to provide seeds for the villagers as a compensation. Shri Stanzin also requested to provide compensation to the owner of the guest house whose building was damaged in a fire incident at Merak village.
The HLG directed DC Leh to make an estimation of the damaged crop and provide assistance to the villagers. He also directed Chief Agriculture Officer, Leh, Shri Thinles Dawa to provide seeds to the villagers before commencement of the agriculture session in May.

Dr Palmo informed the HLG that she was recently transferred from Leh to Tangste. She also informed about her being the sole caretaker of her father-in-law and requested the HLG to keep her in Leh, possibly at the Tuberculosis Centre in Leh where a post of Medical Officer is vacant.
Director, Health Services, Ladakh, Dr Motup Dorjey informed the HLG that Dr Palmo has served in Leh for almost around 20 years in her 22 years of service and hence she was transferred to serve in Durbuk sub-division.
The HLG stated that transfer policy for the employees cannot be amended and should be followed. He asked Dr Palmo to discuss the matter with her husband, who is also working in the Health Department, regarding her trans
