Akashvani Kargil celebrates 78th Independence Day with patriotic fervor.
Kargil, August 15, 2024: Akashvani Kargil marked the 78th Independence Day with a series of patriotic events across all its stations and centers.
The main celebration took place at Akashvani Kargil station in Baroo, where the Assistant Director (Engineering) of All India Radio Kargil, Er Vijay Singh Kain, hoisted the National Flag.
The event was attended by officials, their families, and children from Bal Ashram and nearby areas. In his address to the gathering, Er Vijay Singh Kain highlighted the importance of contributing to the nation’s development, reflecting on the immense sacrifices made by freedom fighters in the struggle for independence.
He called on all members of society to unite and work towards the betterment of the community, paying homage to the freedom fighters and martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s freedom. Later, sweets were distributed among the children and employees.
The celebrations extended to other stations, including HPT Kurbathang, Hombatingla, Akashvani Drass, Tai Suru and Padum, where employees also observed the Independence Day with similar enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
