Kargil, August 23, 2024: On the direction of District Election Officer Kargil, SVEEP Kargil today organized a one-day training program for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors at Auditorium Hall Kargil regarding Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Photo Electoral Rolls for 2024, with respect to January 01, 2025,
Speaking at the event, the resource person emphasized the ECI theme of “No Voter to Be Left Behind” during SSR activities. He focused on the importance of preparing a comprehensive electoral roll, instructing BLOs to ensure that no house is missed during the house-to-house verification process.
He highlighted the significance of the summary revision as an opportunity to improve the quality and accuracy of the electoral roll, covering topics such as pre-revision training, door-to-door surveys, identification of eligible voters, and rationalization of polling stations.
The resource person also provided insights into the differences between the draft and final publications of the electoral roll, the de-duplication survey and modifications and additions following a thorough review.
He stressed the roles and responsibilities of BLOs and encouraged their contributions to ensure a smooth election process. Queries raised by BLOs were addressed and answered comprehensively.
