National Space Day observed at DIET Leh.
DIET Leh, August 23,2024: Under the component of Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, National Space Day 2024 was observed at DIET Leh today on 23rd of August 2024. The theme was “Touching lives while touching Moon India’s Space Saga”.
On this occasion a painting competition was held, in which students from both Government as well as private schools of Leh district participated. Shri Dorjay Wangchuk Engineer Incharge Indian Astronomical Observatory Leh was the Guest Speaker during the occasion. He urged the students to develop a scientific temper and inculcate hobbies in the field of space science.
The chief guest distributed certificates and cash prize among the position holders as well as participants.
In the senior section position holders were:

1). 1st position Miss Tsering Angmo of Moravion Mission school Leh

2) 2nd position Master Rigphel Gyatso Govt.H/S Shara

3) 3rd position Master Rinchen Norphel Govt. H/S Thiksay

In the junior section, position holders were:

1). 1st position Miss Skarma Khaschot of Moravion Mission school Leh

2) 2nd position Miss Stanzin Spalzes New Millenium School Leh

3) 3rd position Miss Rinchen Dolma Govt. M/S Sumoor
