Kargil, August, 30, 2024: Deputy Secretary, Ministry of School Education and Literacy Govt. of India, Sudha Meena along with Section Officer Ram Niwas visited KGBV Kargil District on August 28 and 29, 2024 .
Chief Education Officer Kargil, S.D. Namgyal welcomed the guests and presented traditional Khatak. The CMO briefed the Dy. Secretary and his team about the KGBVs. The matter regarding the non -completion of construction works of KGBV Drass and KGBV Sankoo by SPD J&K was also discussed.
The team visited KGBV Chiktan, KGBV Drass and KGBV Minji Kargil. The Deputy Secretary interacted with the students, teachers and staff of KGBVs.
The learning level of students was also evaluated. The team was satisfied with the learning level of the students and the quality of facilities provided in KGBVs.
The Deputy Secretary also had a meeting with the Executive Councillor, Education, LAHDC, Kargil. The EC raised the issue regarding change of examination session of CBSE keeping in view the climatic condition of the District. The Deputy Secretary assured the EC to discuss the matter with the concerned.
The team also requested the teachers to work with sincerity in enhancing the quality of education in the KGBVs. The CMO Kargil thanked the Dy. Secretary and the team for visiting the KGBVs of the District.
