CBC’s Two-Day Outreach Programme on Mission LiFE Concludes in Khaltsi, Leh.
Khaltsi (Leh), 04 October 2024: The two-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on Mission LiFE, Poshan Abhiyaan, and Swachhta Hi Seva, organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, concluded on Friday at the SDM Office Hall, Khaltsi. The event, organized by CBC’s Anantnag and Leh Field Offices, aimed to raise awareness about sustainable living, nutrition, and cleanliness.
Experts and resource persons from various departments, including ICDS, Health, Education, Agriculture, and Forest, highlighted the importance of sustainability. They promoted practices such as waste segregation at source, mindful consumption of resources, and the critical role of balanced nutrition in combating malnutrition.
Shahid Mohammad Lone, Field Publicity Officer, CBC Anantnag, delivered the keynote address, urging participants to adopt sustainable practices and focus on improving nutrition in their daily lives. He emphasized the significance of government welfare schemes and the benefits they bring to the community.
Naseer Ahmad Rather, Field Publicity Officer, CBC Srinagar, further emphasized CBC’s role in grassroots-level outreach, ensuring that citizens are well-informed about government initiatives. He noted that similar outreach programmes had been organized across the UT of Ladakh over the past two weeks, with more events planned in Leh and Kargil districts until the 10th of October.
As part of the programme, various departments set up stalls to provide on-the-spot services to attendees. The event also featured quizzes and drawing competitions, with participants receiving mementos and certificates of appreciation. Students also presented vibrant cultural performances.
The outreach programme saw active participation from sub-divisional administration officials, teachers, ICDS workers, students, and local community members.
