Kargil, October 08, 2024: The Wildlife Protection Division Kargil and WWF India today organized a rally focused on wildlife conservation, with participation from students of Mutahhary Public School, Suru Valley School, and Jaffaria Academy of Modern Education.
The event was organised on the theme “Wildlife Conservation Through Co-Existence.”
The students marched from Hussaini Park to Circular Road and the rally concluded at the Cultural Academy.
On the occasion, Raza Ali Abidi, Wildlife Warden/Assistant Director, DIPR Kargil highlighted the significance of wildlife conservation and community engagement.
“Our wildlife is an integral part of our heritage, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure its protection,” he said.
The event also featured a painting competition, where students showcased their artistic talent and expressed their vision for a world where humans and wildlife coexist. Awards were presented to the participants in recognition of their creativity and dedication.
The rally brought together students, educators, and community members in a unified effort to raise awareness about wildlife conservation, underscoring the importance of nurturing our environment for future generations.
