    Vigilance Awareness Week program held at GDC Zanskar in collaboration with KVK Kargil-II, Zanskar.
    Kargil, November 02, 2024: Vigilance Awareness Week was observed jointly by Govt. Degree College Zanskar in collaboration with
    Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kargil-II, Zanskar in the college campus aimed at promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in public life.
    The event, held under the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nations’s Prosperity ” brought together students, faculty, and staff to engage in discussions and activities to raise awareness of anti-corruption measures and ethical practices.
    The programme commenced with an opening address by the Principal of GDC Zanskar, who emphasised the importance of honesty and vigilance in both professional and personal spheres. The Principal highlighted the need for a society, free from corruption, where citizens uphold values of integrity and responsibility.
    Dr Mehdi Akhone, Senior Scientist KVK shared his insights on government mechanisms to prevent corruption and the importance of public vigilance. He encouraged students to be proactive in their communities by reporting corrupt practices and promoting ethical behaviour.
    The programme concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, where students and staff vowed to uphold integrity, transparency, and accountability in all walks of life.
    The event was steered by Dr Jamphel Sheyan, Assistant Professor of the college. He also spoke at length and urged the students to practice vigilance as a part of their daily lives, thus contributing to a more ethical and honest society.
