National Voters’ Day 2025 celebrated at GDC Drass.
Kargil, January 25, 2025: Govt. Degree College (GDC), Drass today celebrated the National Voters’ Day 2025 under the theme
“Nothing like voting, I vote for sure.” 2025 with enthusiasm and a commitment to fostering democratic values.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Vishal Atri, SDM Drass, as the Chief Guest, who delivered a profound lecture on the vital role of voting in strengthening democracy.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Amjad Ali Abasi, enriched the occasion by shedding light on the constitutional importance of voting and the need for active citizen participation in the electoral process.
The event was coordinated under the convenorship of Sajad Hussain, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science and Convenor of SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) at GDC Drass, who played a pivotal role in organizing the activities.
Shabna Bashir, a student of GDC Drass, seamlessly conducted the proceedings, while Fatima Banoo and Hajira Banoo delivered an eloquent and inspiring oral presentation, emphasizing the power of individual votes in shaping the nation’s future.
The celebration culminated with a heartfelt gratitude by convenor to all participants , students, and faculty members who contributed to the success of this significant event.
