Jt GM, AAI, KBR Airport calls on Hon’ble Lt Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd).

Leh, 06 February 2025: Joint General Manager, AAI, KBR Airport Leh, Umasankar called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at the Lt Governor’s Secretariat. Advisor to the HLG Dr. Pawan Kotwal, IAS and Commissioner/Secretary to the HLG Dr. L Franklin, IAS were present during the meeting.
During the meeting, the HLG sought updates from Umasankar regarding the completion of the terminal construction and its readiness for use. In response, Umasankar informed the HLG that the terminal is expected to be ready by October 2025. He further mentioned that the additional bay extension will be undertaken after dismantling the old terminal, with the completion of this phase of work anticipated by next year.
The HLG emphasized the importance of timely completion of the project to enhance the airport’s capacity and improve the overall travel experience for residents and visitors. HLG assured Umasankar of the necessary support from the UT Administration to ensure the successful and timely execution of the project.
