    Program supported by Royal Enfield Social Mission for holistic child development in Ladakh
    Kargil, February 25, 2025: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today attended the graduation ceremony of the rISE (rZamba Initiative for Sustainable Education) fellows, a program supported by the Royal Enfield Social Mission to ensure the holistic well-being of children in Ladakh. He was chief guest on the occasion.
    In his address, Dr. Akhoon congratulated the graduating fellows of rZamba and commended the organization for its dedication to improving the education system in Kargil. He highlighted rZamba’s innovative approach of learning by doing and emphasized the need to equip students with skills that ensure their relevance in society and economic independence post-education. He also praised the confidence displayed by students from far-flung areas, attributing it to rZamba’s impactful work.
    Appreciating Royal Enfield’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, Dr. Jaffer stated that their contributions extend beyond rZamba, benefiting the entire region’s student community. He urged other corporate sectors to step forward and invest in the development of Ladakh’s Education System. Additionally, he highlighted various initiatives undertaken by different corporate entities in Kargil to enhance educational standards.
    Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho, who was the guest of honour during the event also lauded rZamba’s efforts in bringing sustainable, high-quality education to rural areas. He commended the initiative for its commitment to bridging educational gaps and providing learning opportunities to rural students at their doorsteps. He noted the significant progress in female education across Ladakh and emphasized the need to further strengthen teaching standards. He also advised students to adopt smart preparation techniques to manage academic stress effectively.
    On the occasion, students from different government schools supported by rZamba showcased their models on various themes, demonstrating their creativity and understanding of practical learning concepts. A documentary on the contributions of fellows was also screened during the event.
    State Lead of the Royal Enfield Social Mission, Tsewang Lhamo, briefed the gathering on Royal Enfield’s commitment to investing in high-quality educational programs for children, supporting teachers and facilitators through professional development, mentorship, and competitive compensation.
    CEO of rZamba, Stanzin Saldon (Shifah) provided insights into the organization’s initiatives and the invaluable contributions of the fellows in shaping a sustainable and inclusive education system in Ladakh.
    The event was attended by Councillor Baroo Minjee Adv. Khadim Hussain, Principal DIET Sayeeda Banoo, Deputy Secretary, Culture, Nazir Hussain, NHPC Kargil Manager, State Lead Royal Enfield Social Mission Tsewang Lhamo, CEO rZamba Stanzin Saldon (Shifah) and other dignitaries.
    Later, certificates and mementoes were presented to all graduating fellows of rZamba in recognition of their contributions and achievements.
