ADC Leh convenes meeting to fix Reasonable Rates for Vegetables, Fruits, Dairy Products and Flowers for 2025.
Leh, April 7, 2025: In a bid to regulate prices and maintain order in the market, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Leh, Ghulam Mohd (JKAS), convened a meeting today to discuss and fix reasonable rates for vegetables, fruits, dairy products and flowers for the season of 2025. The meeting was attended by key officials and stakeholders, including the Additional Superintendent of Police, Assistant Director FCS&CA and other officers.
During the meeting, the rates of vegetables, fruits, and dairy products were reviewed in the presence of all stakeholders. A special committee was also formed to oversee the sale of vegetables and flowers on vehicles along the roadside, with a directive to prohibit sales on highways that cause problem for other drivers and vendors. The authorities also emphasized the importance of vendors displaying official rate lists to ensure transparency and fair pricing.
The primary objective of the meeting was to establish fair and reasonable prices for essential commodities, benefiting both consumers and vendors. By regulating prices and maintaining order in the market, the authorities aim to promote a smooth and efficient trading environment in Leh.
