Student Council Elections Successfully Conducted at PM SHRI Govt. High School Poyen.
Kargil, April 30: PM SHRI Government High School Poyen successfully conducted its Student Council Elections on April 29 under the supervision of Headmaster Ashraf Ali Sagar.
Following a closely contested and engaging electoral process, Khadim Hussain of Class 10 was elected as Head Boy, while Amina Banoo, also of Class 10, was elected as Head Girl. Additionally, Muzamil Ali from Class 9 was elected as Sports Secretary, and Farveena Batool as Cultural Secretary.
The voting process began at 10:30 AM and concluded at 1:20 PM, with the results announced at 3:30 PM.
The election was overseen by the School Election Committee, with Mumtaz Hader serving as the Returning Officer and Masooma Banoo as the Assistant Returning Officer.
Certificates were presented to the winning candidates by observer Sajjad Hussain and Returning Officer Mumtaz Hader.
In his address, Headmaster Ashraf Ali Sagar expressed confidence in the leadership abilities of the newly elected council members. He encouraged them to uphold values of responsibility, inclusivity, and dedication, and to work diligently for the betterment of the school in collaboration with the staff.
The ceremony concluded with the felicitation of the winners, who were honored with traditional khataks by the Headmaster.
