Annual Zoology Student Seminar 2025 Successfully Held at Sankoo Campus, GDC Kargil.

Kargil, May 21, 2025 – The Department of Zoology, Government Degree College Sankoo Campus, successfully conducted its Annual Zoology Student Seminar 2025 on May 21, 2025, with the central theme “Tools and Techniques in Biology.”
This intellectually engaging event brought together enthusiastic undergraduate students, providing them with a platform to explore, research, and present on a variety of emerging and foundational topics in biological sciences.
A total of 30 students from the 4th semester participated in the seminar, delivering well-researched PowerPoint presentations on subtopics such as microscopy, molecular biology techniques, DNA sequencing, electrophoresis, cryopreservation, and chromatography.
The initiative not only helped students deepen their subject knowledge but also enhanced their scientific communication and presentation skills—essential competencies for their academic and professional growth.
The seminar was formally addressed by Dr. Javed Iqbal Naqi, Head of the Department of Zoology, who underscored the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application and encouraged students to stay committed to scientific inquiry and innovation.
He also extended his appreciation to the department faculty—Dr. Ahmad Ali, who coordinated the seminar, and Dr. Archo Zakiya, who served as a member of the jury panel—for their dedicated efforts in organizing the event seamlessly.
