    International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
    On 26 june 2025, the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed through a collaborative event organized by the District De-addiction Centre (DDAC) in partnership with the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Leh, under the banner of Yato Club.
    The event witnessed active participation from various sections of the community, including religious groups, women and youth organizations, the Leh Merchant Association, school teachers, and most importantly, children from various schools across Leh.

    Islamia Public School
    Government School Skalzangling
    Boys Higher Secondary School, Leh
    Government School, Housing Colony
    Siddhartha School, Stok, Leh
    Children from these schools, who are also members of the Yato Club, showcased creative and thought-provoking art pieces highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse on the human body.
    Additionally, the Narcotics Wing, Leh and the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Leh delivered informative presentations to educate the children on drug laws, prevention, and the legal consequences of drug abuse.
    The event served as an important platform to promote awareness, encourage dialogue, and strengthen the community’s commitment to a drug-free future.
