Drass, June 30, 2025 — The faculty and students of Government Degree College (GDC) Drass came together today to bid a heartfelt farewell to the esteemed Principal, Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi who recently got transferred to GDC Zanskar. His dedicated leadership has been instrumental in the growth and success of the institution since its inception.
Established in 2018, GDC Drass has evolved into a beacon of higher education in the region, due to the tireless efforts and visionary leadership of the Principal. From the first day of its establishment to the present moment, he has been a guiding force in shaping the academic, cultural, and administrative landscape of the college.
The farewell event, held at the college seminar hall was attended by faculty members, students, non-teaching staff. The program featured speeches, and heartfelt tributes, reflecting the deep respect and admiration of the college community holds for the Principal.
Speaking on the occasion, faculty members lauded the Principal’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, student welfare, and institutional development. Students, many of whom have been directly inspired by his leadership, shared emotional messages of gratitude and best wishes for future endeavors.
