Kargil, June 30, 2025 — A mega outreach event under the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DAJA) 2025 was held today at Panchayat Ghar Sankoo, aiming to connect citizens with welfare schemes and doorstep grievance redressal.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sankoo, Waseem Ramzan Dar (JKAS), who addressed the gathering. In his remarks, he urged residents to fully utilise the opportunities offered through the DAJA Camp.
Dar emphasised that the initiative is designed to raise public awareness about various government welfare schemes and to provide services related to different departments directly at the grassroots level. He encouraged citizens to come forward and participate actively in future camps as well.
Organised in collaboration with the Rural Engineering Wing (REW) and the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), the camp aimed to extend essential services to tribal and marginalised communities.
All line departments set up service units on-site, offering assistance under different welfare schemes. The event focused on delivering maximum services and addressing public grievances effectively on the spot.
The camp witnessed a high footfall, with a large number of beneficiaries availing various schemes and services. Citizens received direct support related to healthcare, social welfare, and rural development, among others.
Local residents expressed gratitude to the Union Territory administration, especially the Deputy Commissioner Kargil, SDM Sankoo, and other participating departments for ensuring accessibility to vital schemes and raising awareness.
