First Pre-Board Exams for Class 10th and 12th Begin in Ladakh.
Kargil, July 9, 2025 — The first pre-board examinations for Class 10th and Class 12th students commenced today across the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh, under the supervision of the Secretary, School Education, and Director, School Education, UT Ladakh. The exams will continue until July 18, 2025, covering both Leh and Kargil districts.
A total of 26 examination centres have been set up in Kargil and 19 in Leh. The exams are being conducted with full sanctity and adherence to secrecy protocols, following a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) inspired by the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) competency-based format.
This format, which emphasises critical thinking, application, and analytical skills, is designed to prepare students for the upcoming CBSE board examinations by familiarising them with the latest pattern of question papers.
Approximately 1,972 students from Class 10th and 1,890 students from Class 12th are appearing for these pre-board exams across both districts.
