    Har Ghar Tiranga: Tourism Department Kargil organizes Rakhi tying ceremony for Army jawans

    Kargil, August 08, 2025 – In connection with the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, Tourism Department Kargil in collaboration with the Education Department today organized a Tiranga Rakhi tying ceremony for the brave Indian Army soldiers at a zero border location near Kargil.
    On the occasion, girl students from the PM Shri Government Higher Secondary School Minjee tied tricolor rakhis to the Army officers and jawans. The tricolor rakhis were specially woven for the brave soldiers by a female member of a local women self-help group supported by the Handicraft Department Kargil.
    The Rakhis were prepared and presented to the brave soldiers for extending love and appreciation for their gallant efforts in protecting the borders of the country.
    Traditional khataks were also presented to the soldiers as a mark of respect, and the Army officers and jawans presented gifts to the officers and students as a gesture of goodwill and encouragement.
    Chief Education Officer, Kargil; AD Tourism Kargil & In Charge Teacher PM Shri School Minjee Munawar Hussain Khan were present on the occasion.
    The brave soldiers of the Indian Army have always stood as the unwavering guardians of the nation, displaying unmatched courage and dedication in defending the borders in extreme conditions to ensure the safety and sovereignty of the country.
