    Enterprising Ladakh Youth Awareness workshop formally launched at Government Degree College Nobra on 9th September 2025 in the college multi-purpose hall concluded today on 11th September. The workshop was held for three days, from the 9th till the 11th of September 2025 inside the college premises. Enterprising Ladakh supported by Higher Education Department, UT Ladakh is a resource agency which will help facilitate and mentor young entrepreneurs from the region. The resource persons for the workshop were Ms. Fariya and Mr. Rigzin Wangdus from Enterprising Ladakh. The sessions given during the three-day workshop focused on providing students and women self-help groups with the basic modalities of taking entrepreneurship as an alternative career. The workshop also aimed towards guiding and mentoring the participants towards framing detailed project reports and the know-how of launching and marketing local products in the market. A special exhibit comprising of locally sourced skincare products using goji berry and local lavender were showcased in the workshop. Women from self-help groups also displayed their handloom items in the form of knitted wool items, yarn wool. They also exhibited other local produce in the form of lavender, chamomile tea and straw baskets.
    In the valedictory session, a self-made entrepreneur from Nubra region, Ms Lobzang Wangmo, representing her crochet business and her brand Lobithikma shared her business journey with the audience. The students and other participants also gave presentations, pitching their ideas featuring their products. Principal, GDC Nobra Sh. Rigzin Sandup , Ms Sonam Angmo (Asstt Prof. Nodal Officer EYAP, GDC Nobra) were felicitated for their contribution towards making the workshop an effective medium for raising awareness for prospective local entrepreneurial ventures in the region. The best presentation/ideas, quiz winners students ShahJhan, Sanju Kumari, Padma Choskey were also felicitated with mementos from the Enterprising Ladakh group.
    The 3 day workshop received great feedback from the participants, serving as a vital platform to help foster local innovation and self-reliance, empowering local communities in the long run.
