SDM Zanskar chairs review meeting for Ladakh Zanskar Festival

Kargil, September 15, 2025: In view of the forth coming 10th edition of Ladakh Zanskar festival, a meeting of concerned officials was called at Tourist Dak Bunglow Padum Zanskar today. The meeting was chaired by worthy Area Development Officer/SDM Zanskar Omkar Rajendra Gundage (IAS).
The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Zanskar Mr. Mohd Hassan, Executive Engineer R&B & ZDA Er. Wilayat Ali Khan, Executive Engineer Hydrolics/ PHE Er. Furman Ali, Block Medical Officer, Dr. Tsering Tashi, OC Army camp Capt. Sumit Pal, President All Gonpa Association, Anjuman Association, Merchant Association, Lambardar Asssociation and other Sub-Divisional level Officers attended the meeting.
Tehsildar Zanskar briefed about the duties assigned to various department and other association. Direction were given to every departments to ensure arrangement of every-thing well in time including temporary toilets, preparation of stage, seating, boarding/lodging of VVIPs and VIPs and other arrangements, and uninterrupted electricity supply during the festival.
Various issues related to the festival was also raised by the lambardars and other associations regarding installation of Dogsa and other stalls.
SDM Zanskar stressed all the Officers to cooperate all Departments for grand and successful Zanskar festival.
