    Kargil, September 21, 2025: Upon his visit to Kargil, Chief Secretary, Ladakh, Dr. Pawan Kotwal (IAS), today visited the Randhawa Top View Point at an altitude of 13,620 feet in Kargil. He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, Deputy Superintendent of Police Anayatullah, SHO Kacho Sadat Ali and other officials.
    During the visit, the Chief Secretary interacted with Army personnel stationed at Randhawa Top and lauded their steadfastness in serving the nation under challenging conditions. He also took stock of the available facilities at the post and was briefed by the Army about the historical importance of the strategic location.
    On the occasion, Dr. Kotwal directed the ADC Kargil to instruct the Power Development Department (PDD) to prepare a detailed DPR for ensuring power facilities to the Army at the location.
    From Randhawa Top, the Chief Secretary also observed the Kargil Airport and other locations. He said that the airport area has scope for expansion due to its gentle slope, which could be advantageous for future development.
    Additionally, ADC Kargil briefed the Chief Secretary about the nearby villages visible from the top.
