Department of Youth Services and Sports, Kargil conducts selection trial for 69th National School Games.
Kargil, September 22, 2025: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Kargil conducted a two-day Selection Trial of Taekwondo, Karate, Boxing, and Thang-Ta Martial Arts for the upcoming 69th National School Games at SAI Training Centre, Kargil.
The UT-level selection trial was aimed at identifying the best athletes to represent Ladakh at the national-level competitions under the aegis of the National School Games 2025-26.
Mohd Hassan (PEM, I/C Activities DYSSO Kargil), Mohd Ibrahim (PEM, I/C ZPEO Kargil), Director SAI Centre Kargil Ghulam Mustafa, Mohd Ali (Taekwondo Coach), and other technical officials of Youth Services & Sports and SAI Centre Kargil were present during the trials.
On the first day a total of 50 boys and girls in Taekwondo and 45 boys and girls in Boxing, Karate from different schools across the Union Territory of Ladakh participated in the selection trials. The athletes were assessed for their skills and performance to qualify for the National Level Martial Arts Competitions.
