The Director, Health Services, UT Ladakh, accompanied by the Statistical Officer (Planning), State Programme Manager (Ayush), Consultant (Ayush), and the Personal Assistant to the Director, undertook a three-day comprehensive tour to Nyoma Sub-Division w.e.f. 18.10.2025, with a special focus on Vibrant Villages.
The primary objective of the visit was to review and inspect infrastructural developments at various Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and the Community Health Centre (CHC), Nyoma, implemented under the Special Development Package (SDP), Vibrant Village Programme, and District Capex Budget.
During the inspection, Dr. Thinlas, Director, Health Services, expressed satisfaction over the progress of the construction of four sets of staff quarters at various centres. However, the team observed that roof treatment work has not been carried out in any of the staff quarters, which requires immediate attention.

The Director, Health Services, also distributed oxygen concentrators to various health centres located in the Vibrant Villages.
While interacting with the staff and local representatives at different centres, the team assured redressal of genuine issues such as the provision of staff quarters, internet connectivity, electricity, and water supply by taking up the matters with the concerned authorities.
The team also expressed deep concern over the condition of the “Construction of two sets of staff quarters for Medical Centre, Korzok” under the District Capex Budget, which, despite being at the completion stage, was found to be in a deplorable and unsafe condition for occupation.
The Directorate has taken note of all observations and will initiate appropriate action to ensure quality infrastructure and conducive working conditions for healthcare staff in the region
