    Conclusion of Second Batch of Dakshata Training at SNM Hospital, Leh.

    The second batch of the three day Dakshata Training successfully concluded today at SNM Hospital Leh. The training conducted under the National Health Mission (NHM), aimed to strengthen the skills of healthcare professionals in providing quality maternal and newborn care.
    Dr. Ayesha Malo, Consultant Gynaecologist, SNM Hospital, Leh, served as the resource person for the training. Through detailed sessions, practical demonstrations, and interactive discussions, participants were trained on evidence based practices for safe deliveries, management of obstetric emergencies, and essential newborn care, as per the Dakshata guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
    The participants of this batch included Medical Officers, Staff Nurses, and FMPHWs from SNM Hospital Leh, as well as from various peripheral health institutions of the district. The training provided an opportunity for participants to refresh and enhance their clinical and decision making skills to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes across healthcare facilities.
    All the trainees were felicitated with certificates of completion by Dr. Rinchen Chosdol, Medical Superintendent, SNM Hospital Leh.
    The successful completion of this second batch marks another important step toward building a cadre of skilled healthcare professionals dedicated to promoting safe motherhood and reducing preventable maternal and neonatal mortality in the region.
    The hospital administration and NHM unit extended appreciation to Dr. Ayesha Malo and all participants for their active participation and commitment toward improving the quality of maternal and newborn care services in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
