Training Programme for AEROs, BLO Supervisors, and BLOs of Sumoor Tehsil on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025.
Nubra, November 07, 2025:
A training programme for Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), BLO Supervisors and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Tehsil Sumoor on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025 was held today at the Conference Hall of the SDM Office Complex, Diskit, Nubra.
The session commenced with an inaugural address by Tashi Chosstak, Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), who highlighted the crucial role of BLOs in ensuring transparency and integrity during the electoral roll revision process. He emphasized the importance of accuracy, diligence and public trust in maintaining a credible and error free electoral roll.
The training covered key components of the SIR process, including mapping of polling stations, revision and verification of electoral rolls, publication of draft rolls and procedures for deletion, correction and inclusion of voter details. The facilitators underlined the pivotal role of BLOs in effectively implementing these activities at the grassroots level.
A total of 29 BLOs, 3 BLO Supervisors and the AERO of Tehsil Sumoor actively participated in the interactive sessions, which were conducted by SLMT Stanzin Spaldon and Sumera Kosar.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion session aimed at addressing field level issues and clarifying doubts raised by BLOs. Participants also shared their experiences and suggestions to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of electoral roll management during the revision process.
