On 14th November 2025, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Leh observed Children’s Day at Nari Niketan, Leh, to mark the occasion with children and create awareness about their rights. The event was attended by Mr. Manoj Parihar (Principal District & Sessions Judge, Chairman DLSA Leh), Mrs. Phuntsog Angmo, Secretary of DLSA Leh, Maryam Skabzin, Supervisor of Bal Ashram, Thinles Angmo, Supervisor of Nari Niketan, along with staff, students of Bal Asharam and Nari Niketan and paralegal volunteers.
The Nari Niketan supervisor welcomed the guests with khataks. While addressing the gathering, Mr. Manoj Parihar interacted with the students regarding Children’s Day and provided a brief introduction to the occasion. He also spoke about the free legal aid provided by DLSA Leh and various schemes under the Legal Services Authorities Act. Mrs. Phuntsog Angmo discussed the Right to Education and the importance of celebrating Children’s Day. A cultural program was also presented during the event.
