CEC Kargil Lays Foundation Stone of multi crore Development Projects in Sangrah Constituency.
Kargil, November 26, 2025: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd. Jaffer Akhoon, today laid the foundation stone of several major development works worth multi crores in Sangrah constituency, marking a significant step forward in the region’s infrastructure and community development.
The ceremony was attended by Executive Engineer R&B SVD Sankoo, Councillor Aga Syed Ahmad Razvi; Chief Patron, Anjuman-e Sahib Zaman, Syed Mohmad Razvi (Al -Maroof Migh-e-Oud; former MLA, Syed Baqir Razvi, Chairman Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman, Sheikh Sadiq Balagi, Sheikh Muslim, Sheikh Ali Mangdum, former Executive Councilor Syed Abass Razvi, along with a large gathering of local residents who warmly welcomed the initiatives aimed at improving facilities in their area.
As part of the day’s proceedings, the CEC laid the foundation stone for the Community Hall/Reading Hall at Goma Sangrah. He also laid the foundation stone for the Upgradation and Construction of the 1st and 2nd Floors of the Community Hall at Bansala Sangrah.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jaffer Akhoon said that these projects represent a milestone achievement in the developmental journey of Sangrah village. He said LAHDC Kargil remains committed to bringing quality infrastructure, modern facilities and better opportunities even to the remotest villages of the region.
He highlighted that the new reading hall and library will be especially beneficial for students from economically weaker backgrounds. With access to computers, books, internet connectivity and a dedicated study space, students will now be able to avail world-class educational resources. He added that digital access will help bridge educational gaps and empower local youth to compete at the national and global level.
The CEC also emphasised the broader social benefits of the community hall. He said, the facility will serve as a multi-purpose space for community gatherings, religious events awareness programs, and other social functions. Such spaces play an important role in strengthening community bonds, encouraging youth engagement, and providing a platform for collective activities and decision-making.
Dr. Akhoon further assured that LAHDC Kargil will continue to bring more developmental projects to Sangrah, aiming to uplift the standard of living and support the aspirations of its people through inclusive and sustainable growth.
