LAHD-SSRB Successfully Conducts Matric & 12th Level Examinations.
Leh, November 30, 2025: The Leh Autonomous Hill Development Subordinate Services Recruitment Board (LAHD-SSRB) today successfully conducted the Matric (10th Level) and 12th Level recruitment examinations across designated centres in Leh district, ensuring transparency, fairness, and accuracy throughout the examination process.
In the morning session, the Matric Level examination was held smoothly at 20 examination centres. A total of 9461 candidates were scheduled to appear, of which 8141 were present and 1320 were absent.
The 12th Level examination was conducted in the evening session at 5 examination centres, where 3285 candidates were scheduled, 2668 appeared, and 617 remained absent.
To uphold confidentiality and strengthen the credibility of the recruitment process, sealed boxes containing question papers and examination materials were dispatched from the Strong Room to all centres with magistrates deployed and under proper police escort under the strict supervision of the Chairman and Secretary, LAHD-SSRB. After the conclusion of the examinations, the materials were safely escorted back to the Strong Room by magistrates deployed under police escort for secure custody, ensuring accuracy and uncompromised transparency at all stages.
Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC Leh and Chairman, LAHD-SSRB, Sh. Romil Singh Donk, IAS, along with Secretary, LAHD-SSRB, Sh. Rehmatullah Butt (JKAS), inspected several examination centres to assess arrangements including CCTV surveillance, seating plans, availability of facilities, and adherence to all prescribed guidelines. The officers expressed satisfaction with the smooth, transparent, and disciplined conduct of both examinations.
As per the SOP of the Board, a dedicated centre for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates was established at EGM College, Leh, with all necessary facilities to ensure an accessible, supportive, and transparent examination environment.
To ensure smooth conduct of exams nominated member LAHDSSRB Sh Sonam Nurboo and flying squads under the supervision of ADC leh Ghulam Mohd and ACR leh Shabir Hussain als inspected various centres and took stock of arrangements in place
After both sessions, all OMR sheets and other sensitive materials were sealed and securely transported to the Strong Room as per the prescribed protocol. The Strong Room was subsequently sealed in the presence of the Chairman, Secretary, magistrate deployed and security personnel, reinforcing the Board’s commitment to accuracy, accountability, and transparency.
