DC Leh Romil Singh Donk interacted with residents of Ibex Colony Leh.
Leh, December 2, 2025: The Deputy Commissioner Leh/ CEO LAHDC Leh Romil Singh Donk (IAS) interacted with the residents of Ibex Colony, Leh, today, in an interactive session at Ibex Colony Community Hall. DC Leh was warmly welcomed by the residents in a traditional manner.
The programme was aimed at strengthening public engagement and addressing key developmental concerns of the area. During the session, Sh. Sonam Rigzin, Nambardar Ibex Colony, submitted a memorandum seeking resolution of a long-pending land demarcation issue. The residents had earmarked a site in Ibex Colony area for a proposed Gonpa.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Leh assured the residents that all the matters would be taken up with the concerned authorities on priority. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to ensuring transparent and timely redressal of genuine public grievances and encouraged residents to continue engaging with the administration through such participatory platforms.
Former Councillor of Lower Leh, Sh. Tsering Namgyal, also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the collective efforts of the local residents, and appreciated the District Administration for its proactive response and assurance of support.
Sh. Tsering Namgyal (Ex-Councillor Lower Leh), Sh. Tsewang Gyalson (CPO Leh), Tehsildar Leh, officers and officials from various line departments, and a large number of residents attended the programme.
