Leh, December 12, 2025: A public outreach camp was organised today at Skampari 2nd Community Hall as part of the “Mimang–Si–sJabstogs – Administration at Your Doorstep” initiative. The programme was held under the supervision of Nodal Officer Sh. Mohd Ali, Divisional Forest Officer.
The event began with a traditional welcome extended by the Four Nambardars of the area to the Nodal Officer and participating departmental representatives. In his address, the Nodal Officer outlined the vision and objectives of the initiative, emphasising improved governance, enhanced accessibility of services, and a stronger interface between citizens and the administration. He stated that such outreach camps help bridge service-delivery gaps and ensure timely redressal of issues at the grassroots level.
Officials from various departments including Health, Social Welfare, Revenue, Rural Development, Power Development, Education, Finance and other departments provided on-spot services, guidance on welfare schemes, and responded to public grievances.
During the interactive session, Nambardars and residents highlighted several key concerns, including improvement of the drinking water supply system, repair and blacktopping of the main road, traffic management during peak hours, completion and renovation of community halls, installation of an ATM, lane marking and signages, development of a children’s playground, and regular sanitation and waste-collection services.
As part of the health-related activities, the Medical Department conducted BP and sugar check-ups, screened individuals for non-communicable diseases, and facilitated the generation of 32 Aadhaar cards for local residents.
Representatives from the banking sector also briefed the public on the MoneyWise Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL) a financial education initiative implemented by the CRISIL Foundation in collaboration with J&K Bank and SBI, and supported by the Department of Economic Affairs, RBI, and NABARD’s Financial Inclusion Fund. The programme aims to enhance financial awareness and promote responsible financial practices among citizens.
In his concluding remarks, Sh. Mohd Ali assured that all concerns and demands raised during the camp would be forwarded to the concerned authorities for necessary action, reaffirming the Administration’s commitment to responsive and people-centric governance.
