ADC Kargil Flags Off First Batch of Government School Students for Exposure Tour outside Ladakh Under PM SHRI.
Kargil, December 31, 2025: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho today flagged off the first batch of students from various Government PM SHRI Higher Secondary Schools and High Schools of Kargil District for an exposure tour outside the Union Territory of Ladakh under the PM SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) Scheme, approved under AWP&B 2025 – 26. During the tour, students will visit various parts of India including Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Jodhpur in order to gain educational and cultural exposure.
While addressing the students on the occasion, the ADC advised them to enjoy the tour and learn as much as possible about new cultures, cuisines and visit museums, libraries and historical places during their journeys and create lifelong memories. He highlighted the importance of travel in broadening knowledge and perspective and informed the students that Jaipur is home to India’s largest single-screen cinema theatre, the iconic Raj Mandir. He wished the students and escort teachers the very best of journey.
Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kargil, Sonam Wangchuk, briefed the students about the detailed tour itinerary. He advised the students to remain in close coordination with their escort teachers and make the most of the exposure tour for academic, social and cultural learning.
In the first batch, 60 students along with 04 escort teachers have been sent for the tour. A total of 414 students, accompanied by 29 escort teachers, will participate in the exposure tour which will be conducted over 10 days in 7 groups on different dates.
