Lok Niwas celebrates Foundation Day of Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura in Leh.
Leh, January 21: Lok Niwas Ladakh celebrated the Foundation Day of the North Eastern States of Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura in a spirit of national unity and cultural harmony, in a function held here.
On the occasion, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, extended his warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the people of Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura. He said that the North Eastern region is an integral part of India’s national fabric and is renowned for its rich cultural diversity, natural beauty and vibrant traditions.
The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor highlighted that Manipur’s legacy of valour and culture, Meghalaya’s natural richness, and Tripura’s historical and cultural heritage have made significant contributions to the nation’s progress. He noted that these States have achieved remarkable progress in the fields of education, sports, art, culture and social cohesion.
The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor also greeted officers and staff from Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura presently serving in Ladakh, and appreciated their dedication, professionalism and commitment. He stated that their contribution strengthens Ladakh’s administrative and developmental efforts and exemplifies the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.’
Expressing optimism for the future, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor said that with the guidance of the Central Government, and through collective efforts and determination, these States will continue to attain new milestones of development. He conveyed his best wishes for their continued peace, prosperity and all-round growth.
The programme concluded with a reaffirmation of national unity and cultural integration, marking the Foundation Day celebrations of Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura in a meaningful and dignified manner.
