Councillor Abdul Wahid Attends Archery Tournament Finale in Drass.
Drass, February 17, 2026: Councillor Bhimbat Constituency, Abdul Wahid attended the final match of Archery Tournament as the Chief Guest held at Goshen, Drass.
The tournament was organized by the Goshen Archery Club in collaboration with the Winter Sports Association Drass.
On the occasion, the Councillor congratulated all participating teams, with special appreciation for both the winners and the runners-up. He commended the organizers for successfully conducting the tournament and for their continued efforts in promoting sports and nurturing local talent.
During his address, the Councillor lauded the Humas Ice Hockey Team for their remarkable achievement in winning the Royal Enfield Cup at Leh. He assured the youth of Drass that education, healthcare, and sports development would remain priority areas.
Highlighting recent developments, the Councillor stated that several sports infrastructure projects have been sanctioned for the youth of Drass, including two cricket stadiums, one astroturf stadium, two indoor stadiums, and the Winter Academy at Munmun Top, aimed at promoting both sports and tourism.
As a gesture of encouragement, the Hon’ble Councillor announced a financial contribution for the organizers of the tournament.
