The Chula Shumari (Household List) was formally inaugurated today at the Tehsil Office, Sumoor.

Nubra, March 5, 2026: The Chula Shumari (Household List) was formally inaugurated today at the Tehsil Office, Sumoor, by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Nubra, Mukul Beniwal, IAS, in the presence of Tehsildar Sumoor, Tashi Jorgais.
The Chula Shumari/Household List, which serves as a basic requirement for the issuance of various public certificates has been successfully completed with reference to 01.01.2026. Its completion marks an important step towards strengthening administrative efficiency and public service delivery in the region.
On the occasion, a brief farewell gathering was also organized at the Tehsil Office, Sumoor, in honour of sub Divisional Magistrate, Mukul Beniwal, IAS, on his transfer and posting as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leh. Officials and local representatives extended their appreciation for his dedicated service and contributions during his tenure in Nubra.
Former Councillor of Tegar Constituency, Rigzen Lundup along with all seven Nambardars of the Siachen belt, were present and participated in the inaugural ceremony.
