ADC Kargil Reviews Arrangements for Shab-e-Qadr, Martyrdom Day of Hazrat Ali and Jamiatul-Vida.
Kargil, March 07, 2026: Additional Deputy Commissioner, LAHDC Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho today convened a meeting to review arrangements for the upcoming religious events including Shab-e-Qadr, the commemoration of the Martyrdom Day of Hazrat Ali on 21st Ramadan, related processions and Jamiatul-Vida. The meeting was attended by concerned officers and representatives of various religious organisations.
During the meeting, the representatives of religious organisations requested the District Administration to make necessary arrangements for the upcoming nightly prayer gatherings (shab), processions and Jamiatul-Vida congregations.
The ADC directed the concerned departments to ensure all essential arrangements including medical facilities, adequate water supply, uninterrupted electricity, and proper traffic management during the events. He also instructed the religious institutions to arrange volunteers to coordinate with the administration so that the processions move smoothly along the designated routes within the scheduled time.
Representatives of IKMT requested the administration to vacate the parking area of Hussaini Park well in advance for the processions and also urged that public conveniences remain accessible during the events. Representatives of JUIAK requested proper cleanliness in the Inqalaab Manzil Complex and its vicinity and stressed that the schedule and arrangements should follow the practices adopted in previous years. It was also advised to keep the Khri Sultan Cho Sports Stadium, Byamthang available for parking during the events.
Besides this, various other issues related to the smooth conduct of the religious programmes were discussed in detail.
The meeting was attended by Additional SP, Kargil, Deputy CMO, Executive Engineer, PDD, Assitant Director, FCS&CA, Tehsildar Kargil, Headquarter Assistant to DC, Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety, District Traffic Inspector, beside representatives of IKMT, JUIAK and various other religious organisations.
