22nd Instalment of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana.
Leh, March 13, 2026:The 22nd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) was released today by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, aimed at supporting and empowering farmers across the country.
Under the 22nd instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme, an amount of more than ₹18,640 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of over 9.3 crore eligible farmers across the country through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Under this instalment, 17706 farmers of the Union Territory of Ladakh will receive benefits amounting to approximately ₹3.54 crore through DBT. The scheme provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each. Since its launch in 2019, the scheme has played a significant role in supporting farmers and improving their livelihoods.
The live telecast of the event was attended virtually at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Leh by Director Horticulture Leh, Tsewang Punchok; Joint Director Agriculture Leh, Thinles Dawa; Chief Horticulture Officer Leh, Kunzang Wangmo; Deputy Director Agriculture Leh, Tashi Dolma; District Agriculture Officer (Extension) Leh, Shakel-ur-Rehman; District Agriculture Officer (Inputs) Leh, Ibrahim, along with other district officers from various departments and farmers.
