Director, School Education, reviews functioning of School Education Department of Kargil.
Kargil, April 02, 2026: Director, School Education, UT Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho took a meeting today in the Conference Hall of Office of Chief Education Officer, Kargil, to review the functioning of the Education Department in Kargil District.
The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer Sonam Wangchuk; District Education Planning Officer, Ajaz Ahmad; Accounts Officer, Directorate of School Education,Mukhtar Hussain; Assistant Director (Planning), Directorate of School Education, Mohammad Liyaqat and other officials of CEO Office.
During the meeting, the Director reviewed the implementation of various of schemes including PM-SHRI, Samagra Shiksha and PM-POSHAN. He stressed the need to further strengthen and uplift the school education system in District Kargil.
Kacho emphasized the importance of improving the overall performance in CBSE examinations and called for focussed efforts to enhance academic outcomes. Highlighting the need for better coordination and teamwork, he urged all officials to work collectively and with dedication to achieve tangible improvements in the quality of education.
The Director further stressed upon expanding educational access in a thoughtful and need-based manner while improving the overall working environment and service delivery standards of the Department. He encouraged adopting a proactive and student-centric approach to ensure holistic development and better learning outcomes across the Union Territory.
Further, various aspects related to infrastructural development and financial matters were discussed in detail. Emphasis was also laid on efficient and effective functioning of the Establishment Section of CEO Office. While throwing light on the scope of immense improvement in the education sector of Kargil, the Director called for sincere and coordinated efforts for meeting future challenges and goals.
