DLSA, District Health Society Organise Free Health Camp on World Health Day.
Kargil, April 07, 2026: On the occasion of World Health Day a special initiative has been taken by District Legal Services Authority, Kargil, under the aegis of Ladakh Legal Services Authority, by organising a Free Medical Camp in collaboration with District Health Society, Kargil at District Court Complex Kurbathang, Kargil.
Hon’ble Mr Sheikh Gowher Hussain, Principal District & Sessions Judge and also the Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Kargil, inaugurated the medical camp, in presence of Mr Sadiq Ali Wazir Munsiff JMIC Sankoo, members of the Bar Kargil, Legal Aid Defense Counsels, members of the district court staff, Para Legal Volunteer’s and general public.
The medical team consisted of Dr. Hannan Wani, Dr. Murakeen along with Pharmacist, CHO, Lab Assistants and Paramedic Staff.
The Free Medical Camp offered facilities for the following tests: Haemoglobin, Random Blood Sugar, Hypertension, LFT and KFT, Urine Routine Test, Screening for oral cancer, Sputum test for TB/AFB, via, Cervical and Breast Cancer screening, Dental Consultation, Cataract screening.
In total, around 115 people were examined, samples were collected for various tests, 15 females were screened for breast cancer, around 17 people were examined for dental related problems and oral cancer screening, 33 people had taken their vision and cataract test.
