CEC Kargil Inaugurates Canteen at Council Secretariat.
Kargil, April 10, 2026: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today inaugurated a Canteen at the Council Secretariat, marking a significant step towards improving basic amenities for employees and visitors.
During the inauguration, Dr. Akhoon interacted with the canteen owner, Mudasir Hussain, and emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of hygiene and ensuring the availability of nutritious and quality food items. He stressed that the canteen should serve as a model facility, catering to the health and well-being of staff and visitors alike.
The CEC highlighted that the establishment of the canteen would provide a convenient and comfortable space for employees, reducing dependency on outside food services and promoting a healthier work environment.
Dr. Akhoon further stated that the Council remains committed to enhancing infrastructure and welfare facilities within the Secretariat, aimed at improving overall efficiency and staff satisfaction.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Executive Councillor Er. Phunchok Tashi, Executive Councillor Aga Syed Mujtaba Mussavi, Councillors of LAHDC, and several officers and officials of the Council Secretariat.
The attendees appreciated the initiative and expressed hope that the canteen would greatly benefit the employees and visitors on a daily basis.
