Nubra, April 22, 2026: The Pre Launch Ceremony of the “Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of the Tathagata” was held at Skalzang Mani, Hunder, Nubra on 22 April in the presence of the key note speaker Ven Geshe Lhakdor, Director, Library of Tibetan Works & Archives, Dharamshala, & Former English Translator to HH the Dalai Lama and in the august presence of Chief Guest, Administrative Secretary, School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education & Skill Development, UT Ladakh, Bhanu Prabha (IAS).
Ven Geshe Lhakdor enlightened the audience with his teachings on the topic ‘Key to Happiness’ and spoke extensively on the teachings of Lord Buddha, ways in which one can be a better human being and how Ladakh is an example of peace and unity in the world.
Addressing the gathering, prior to his teachings, the Administrative Secretary, Bhanu Prabha highlighted how Ladakh is an embodiment of Lord Buddha’s teachings and the arrival of the holy relics in Leh from 1 May is a fortunate thing in itself. She encouraged all residents of Nubra to visit Leh and experience the spiritual movement of the holy relics.
The event concluded with a questionnaire round from the audience in which the school students participated actively and a vote of thanks by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nobra, Jigmet Raftan (JKAS).
The event was attended by Chief Education Officer, Leh, Deldan Angmo, Munsiff, Nobra, Deldan Angmo, Zonal Education Officer, Nobra, Sonam Dolkar, Gobas/Nambardars of different villages of Nobra and other dignitaries and Officials.
