DC Kargil Chairs Meeting to Operationalize One Stop Centre, Focus on Convergence and Entrepreneurship Support.
Kargil, April 28, 2026: A preliminary meeting regarding the establishment and operationalization of the One Stop Centre held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar in his Office Chamber.
The meeting aims to deliberate upon the framework, implementation strategy, and coordination mechanism for the effective functioning of the One Stop Centre in the district, with a focus on strengthening institutional support and ensuring better service delivery through convergence of departments.
Emphasizing efficiency and effectiveness, the Deputy Commissioner instructed that each department should nominate a sharp and well-informed officer who is thoroughly aware of the schemes and initiatives of their respective departments. These officers will play a crucial role in building a comprehensive database and identifying potential entrepreneurs, guiding them on how to avail benefits under various government schemes and supporting them towards income generation.
The Deputy Commissioner further stated that regular reviews will be conducted, particularly on Saturdays, to assess progress and ensure better outreach at the grassroots level, enabling stronger engagement with the public and aspiring entrepreneurs. He highlighted that even a single capable and dedicated individual can significantly elevate a department’s performance and help achieve government targets effectively.
Drawing a comparison with private sector practices, the Deputy Commissioner observed that successful companies prioritize their customers, whereas government systems must also adopt a people-centric approach by placing the public at the center of all initiatives.
It was also informed that weekly review meetings involving designated government officials and bank representatives will be conducted to ensure coordinated efforts and streamlined implementation.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed that the initiative must be implemented in the best possible manner so that awareness regarding various schemes reaches every interested individual, thereby enhancing opportunities for entrepreneurship and sustainable income generation in the district.
Senior officers from various departments and representatives from banking institutions participated in the meeting.
